Back in May I wrote about an intriguing folklore-based platforming adventure called Never Alone that's made by native Alaskan studio Upper One Games. Now that title has a release date of 4th November, when it will launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC for $14.99 (about £9).
Published by media company E-Line as part of its "World Games" initiative to produce video games based around various indigenous cultures' history, Never Alone (or Kisima Ingitchuna as it's known in its native Iñupiat), follows the story of a young Iñupiaq girl named Nuna and her fox companion.
The gameplay will be of the puzzle platformer variety, but Upper One seeks to imbue Never Alone with stories, settings, imagery and characters specific to Iñupiat and other Alaska Native cultures.
