George R.R. Martin, author of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, just admitted that some fans have actually figured out the ending to the epic, seven-book saga.
According to the AV Club, Martin commented on the veracity of certain fan theories during a talk at the Edinburgh International Literary Festival.
"While some of those theories were amusing bullshit and creative, some of the theories are right. At least one or two readers had put together the extremely subtle and obscure clues that I'd planted in the books and came to the right solution."
Martin won't change the ending just because a few sharp fans sleuthed their way to the truth.
