Watch an 11-minute assassination mission in Assassin's Creed Unity

Assassin's Creed Unity publisher released a gameplay video from the Paris-based action title today, showing off an 11-minute mission early in Arno Dorian's adventure.


Dorian is tasked with taking down a corrupt Templar named Sivert who is hanging out in the Notre-Dame Cathedral. According to commentary from Assassin's Creed Unity creative director Alex Amancio, assassinations in the game take place in a mission type known as the "black box," where players have complete freedom to carry out their task. This is aided by optional objectives that open up new paths.


For example, the pre-mission cutscenes illustrate a few different characters who will prove useful to Dorian. The cathedral is locked, but Dorian can steal the keys; Sivert is...
